He’s was abysmal under Manuel.
Moyes turned water into wine.

A question was asked earlier on twitter, is Ogbonna our best CB in the Premier league.
He's definitely up there with Reid and Gabbidon IMO.

I had my doubts about him early on in his West Ham career but he has been sensational this season (and excellent last).

Camel. I actually thought he was one of the better players under pellegrini last season.
One of the few that actually were getting it right.

His heading of the ball, especially in the oppositions box, is a thing of beauty.

He’s been magnificent for the last two seasons. I mean really good. He is to us what Van Dyke, Kompany and Terry have been for other clubs.

For me Ogbonna is the best centre back of our Premier league years.

Reid was a better defender than him. He’s had a decent West Ham career though, definitely been better the last 2 seasons.

Re: Angelo Ogbonna

Liked him at Torino way back.
Was a groundswell on here to reject him before he came from Juve (where he was being compared to 3 Italian national team CBs and their heir apparent) so I have always tried to support him.
Definitely needs a manager like Moyes but when he has that and keeps his fitness up and head in the game, he has all the tools in the world.
Lucky for us Italian centre backs often bloom late and have long careers at a decent level.

I agree Reid was a quality defender in his prime but Oggy is if far more mobile, he was always an excellent covering defender but he was prone to errors and looked shit on the ball. Probably the biggest things he has improve on over the last two years.

James Collins was a pundit last night and he was saying when he was there, Ogbonna used to stroll around as a centre back and since the coaching staff have got hold of him they have sharpened him up and improved all aspects of his game

He's playing well, but he's too slow which frequently causes him to enjoy giving a penalty-risking bear hug.

Easily the most improved player in our team, followed by Antonio.
